Another Grey City: A Scented Story (2021) is a memoir told through the lens of olfactory memory. Equal parts travelogue and field diary, each chapter centers on a place and its remembered olfactory details, which are presented in a typographic list alongside the narrative. The book is typeset in Janson Text, a feminine, elegant serif which has the added benefit of being very comfortable to read.

At the time of its release, the book was accompanied by a paper scent strip dipped in an aquatic gourmand perfume that I designed. The bottled perfume was also offered at the point of sale. Both are now sold out.

Books of all kinds are near and dear to my heart; writing, typesetting and designing this one, and during the pandemic, was a labor of love.
